Meeting and discussion on the recent church history of the NAC in the Brockhagen Archive

On Friday, July 18, 2025, Manfred Dorowski and Toni Bausen visited the archive for the second time, after having already handed over a special archive donation on the history of the Social and Educational Working Group for the NAC on April 25.

They were accompanied by Walter Krappatsch, the first chairman of the association Article 4. This association has been active since 1987 as a self-help organization for people who have left rigid religious belief systems. Walter Krappatsch himself comes from the New Apostolic Church and is an expert on the literature and development of the NAC, especially in connection with the processes and changes that began to emerge in the late 1980s.

Exciting discussions developed about the past and present of the New Apostolic Church, the contents of the archive, and current issues facing the network. The group also visited the association’s premises in Brockhagen and gained an overview of the available archive materials.

We are delighted about this enriching visit and hope to be able to deepen the contacts that have been made. With regard to the literature of the early “dropout movement” in particular, there are still numerous gaps in the archive that could be filled in the future.
