Januar 1855 in London. Februar 1856 an Thirsch begründete er seinen Standpunkt: <blockquote>" As to McKenzie - i think Rothe is going out of his way to bring this matter forward however as he done it I must give him a reply McKenzie for. 14 or 15 years before his death he not only wholly absented him self from his duties as an apostle, but from all communications of an official nature with the rest of the Apostels and from all participation in the services and sacraments of the house of god among us, he held and adopted strange views and doctrines, and condemned and discountenanced the doctrines wich we held he held intercourse with persons formerly associated with us, (who had drawn aside), and with others believed by us to be under evil spiritual power. And so long i think as ten years ago the apostles intimated to him and to the churches they could no longer consider him to be of one spirit with them. in fact Mr McKenzie had for 15 years absented himself from all our worship and service and communion; and no angel would have been justified in giving him the communion without the authority of the Apostles for so doing - It is one thing for the Apostles to refuse to consider one to be one spirit with them who has thus acted; and another thing for them to pass judgment on him as an Apostate and to anticipate the final judgment of God about him, and to set about filling up his place. The suggestion that Mr McKenzie´s name should be coupled with those who have serves the Lord in life and remained faithful unto death, coming from the Angel of the Church in Berlin rather Surprizes me If one of Mr Rothes flock a priest refused to fulfil his duties, absented himself for 15 years from the Church fell into sundry errors, associated with those known to be under evil spiritual power and refused every dealing of the Angel to bring him back and died in this state, would Mr Rothe commemorate him among the faithful departed win thoungh such a person all along admitted his priestly standing McKenzie being a called separated Apostle, we cannot interfere with his apostleship. But would Mr Rothe or any Priest commend one who thus acted among the faithful unto death, among the holy men and women.</blockquote>
